- Electric load servicing center installation: $4,000
- Wiring adjustments and improvements: $2,500
- Heat pump clothes dryer installation: $840
- Electric range installation: $840

HER-eligible improvements for your home
Unlike the HEAR program, HER provides rebates to energy-efficient upgrades at your Georgia home even if you’re not switching to electric appliances.
With HER, the upgrades you pursue must reduce your home’s overall energy consumption by at least 20%.
To ensure you hit that 20% threshold, a state-approved contractor must perform a HER program energy audit prior to performing any upgrades. A variety of improvements can contribute to the 20% energy reduction, including:
- Upgrading an existing gas furnace system to a more efficient model
- Replacing your current heat pump with a more efficient one
- Getting a more efficient water heater, whether gas or electric
- Bulking up your insulation
- Air sealing your home
- Sealing and insulating your AC and furnace ducts
By combining multiple improvements, income-eligible households can claim up to $16,000 in rebate savings through HER! Higher-income households won’t be able to claim the highest rebate amounts, but any household that meets the 20% energy savings threshold can qualify for thousands in savings!
